I won the Florida Music Teacher's Association Concerto Competition at Districts yesterday!
For Classical vets, I played Mendelssohn's Concerto in G minor.
I got kinda pissed, though, when they cut me off in the middle of the second movement - not because there wasn't enough time, but they said we were only allowed one movement. Now, I know it's basically three, but Romantic pieces like that are usually linked as one movement - whatever.
I'm going onto State Competition now! It's on May 9th - Wish me luck!
