This Will Make You Cry! Not, hopefully -

Once upon a time, there was an orange mushroom of the male gender (if orange mushrooms have gender). He (?) was named Orange Mushroom, like all his family and friends.

Our mushroom Orange Mushroom lived happily in a ledge second from the bottom or top, with his mom, dad, various siblings and cousins that were being born continuously, around every few seconds or so. His life, from a mushroom's point of view, was perfect. He had all the ledge room an orange mushroom could want, many many other mushroom friends, and he wasn't glitched, which meant he could perfectly run about and jump in his natural home.

One day, a new mushroom came to town. Or ledge, rather.

It was a "girl" mushroom (if mushrooms have gender). And it was a very sexy girl mushroom (in mushroom terms).

Orange Mushroom fell stalk over cap in love with her. One day, summoning up all his courage, he went up to her.

"Hello," he said. "What's your name?"
"My name is Orange Mushroom," the sexy girl mushroom said.
"Hey, that's strange," Orange Mushroom (the boy) said. "My name's Orange Mushroom, too. We must be destined to be together for eternity."
Orange Mushroom (the girl) said, "I love you."
Orange Mushroom (the boy) said, "I love you too." And he leaned in to kiss her....

... when she died in front of his very eyes.

Orange Mushroom (the boy) was heartbroken. "Noooooooo!!" he wailed. "My love! How could this happen to me?" He thought about suicide, he hurt so much.
Then he saw the lvl 16 noob pre-dit.
"It was YOU," Orange Mushroom gasped. "YOU MURDERED MY LOVE! YOU WILL PAY THE PRICE!" And in a rage, Orange Mushroom leapt towards the noob pre-dit, with no thoughts of his own safety.

.. what do you think happened?

Orange Mushroom was killed. The lvl 16 pre-dit leveled to a lvl 17 pre-dit.

"Where are you, Orange Mushroom?" his friends and family cried, calling his name piteously, bouncing left and right the ledge, looking for him. "Where are you?"

They never found him again. Even his cap remains had been stolen by a looter.

The next time you're hunting on the orange mushroom ledge in Henesys Hunting Ground, remember Orange Mushroom, who sacrificed his life in his desperate quest for love.
