Hello and welcome to my first ever thief guide. This guide will cover Beginner/Rogue/Assassin/Hermit. I hope this guide will be a good guide and this is based on my experiences and what I did, also what I think you should do since the new updates.
Every class has its own pros and cons, so here they are:
Pros
• Very ranged attack.
• High level of avoidability.
• Great party characters.
• Strong and incredibly fast paced damage
• Fast
• The most funded character in Maplestory, due to the skill Drain
• Has critical hit in 2nd job. A very strong(if maxed, passive).
• By far the easiest to train(aside from Mages/Priests) from Lv15-70
Cons
• Can not battle good close quarters.
• Stars can be very expensive.
• They are the most popular class in the game
You start out quite weak trying to kill monsters but you find it to hard, you try and level fast but you find level 10 is impossible. Well with this guide it won’t be.
You have to try and get a good dice roll:
Str:4
Dex:X
Int:4
Luk:X
The above dice roll may take a while, but you can settle with this:
Str:4/5
Dex:X
Int:4/5
Luk:X
After that you go onto your character and you will find yourself in the training camp.
Do all the quests to level and at level 3 get out because all the quests in the training camp would have finished. So now you are in the wilderness with only 6 pots altogether. Train on the green snails and do the quests you’ll be able o finish.
Every time you level you should put all your points into Dex till it’s at 25 then the rest into luck for the remaining levels. After lvl 10 you put 2 Dex and 3 Luk per level.
So it goes like this:
AP Distribution
Lvl 10:
Str:4/5
Dex:25
Int:4/5
Luk:35 or 36, you wont know Luk since I could have been high or low at the beginning.
So from now on until lvl 40 you add +2 Dex and +3 Luk each level. After lvl 40 you do +1 Dex and +4 Luk since your Dex now has to be 40 points above your level but before level 40 it’s double your level.
Lvl 15:
Str:4/5
Dex:30
Int:4/5
Luk:50
Lvl 20:
Str:4/5
Dex:40
Int:4/5
Luk:75
