I'm gonna be quitting Maple. I'm not bored and I'm not mad at anyone or anything, but it's just time for me to move on in life. I'm starting up grad school in the fall (hopefully) and I really need to develop some sort of work ethic or I'm gonna receive a lot of failure coming up. I just haven't been able to concentrate well on doing my assignments nor keep up with my responsibilities. There just isn't enough motivation for me to work hard when it's much easier to just play Maple. This isn't a sudden decision, I had been thinking about it since winter break and had planned to cut down during this quarter, but even though my playing time has decreased, my work ethic hasn't changed.
I'm a person who gets easily addicted to things, and so the only way for me to clear my head is to cut myself off entirely. I know it comes at a bad time since I'm at 119 and 4th job is just around the corner. But after weighing out whether or not to quit after I advance, I feel that it's best to just give it up now since the new job and new skills will keep me around that much longer and I might lose my resolve. I'm sorry it has to come down to this, but I don't think a short break will cut it--I've gotta go entirely.
I've already arranged where most of my stuff is going to go, but there's a few notes to make here.
-Stars and stripes flag will stay with the guild and I guess since Lyle's hanging on to it now, he'll just continue to hold it
-Meso and apples will go to AoW Zakum
-Priest account unstripped will go to Ant (10k NX left too...guild owl mule?)
-Bandit account will be partially stripped but remain there
-Pumpkin spear last I heard Ber has it, just keep it
I want to thank all you guys for having me in guild for these past few months and I'm really glad to have become good friends with many of you. Feel free to keep in touch via AIM or gmail/gchat (PM me for screen names).
I'll probably be on tomorrow night to say my goodbyes in game and take care of my gear and account, but if I don't see you, then this is goodbye.
