Well.....
To make this short, I had a basketball game yesterday (Sunday). And yes, it was the real stuff with an referee, a buzzer, and coaches on each team.
My team started off pretty bad. The first four minutes, we were down 4-0. But by halftime, we managed to limit them to 4 points total, getting the score to 22-8 by halftime. I had two layups (one fast break, one offensive rebound-based layup)
At second half, it was all crazy. We were on several scoring runs at different times, pulling away from the opposing team by 20, then 30 points. And I was making a lot of layups on fast breaks - some were pretty crazy, as on one of my fast breaks, I was defended by a guy that was a bit bigger than me - but managed to get a quick 2-foot layup from the side, completely catching him off guard. (mind you, he was right in front of me)
On my 7th layup/fast break run (made 5 layups in a row), I went for it - but missed (the audience calmed down, boo). But my amazing performance got the coach to promote me to point guard (woot!). So for the rest of the second half, I played point guard while my team basically finished the whole thing up.
Final score: 65-30. (win)
For myself: 10 points, a few assists, 1 foul, a few rebounds. 5/7 on layups, 0/2 on field goals, 0/1 on jumpers
Not bad for my first game since I started basketball 3 years ago. . But the thing that made a difference is all the fast breaks Ive been perfecting the last 1-2 years is finally put to the test - and passed.

Lets just say it was another place where my coach had another basketball class that is there.
We were the home team, so we knew everything that needed to be done.
