a little preview of my up coming short story. -

Step into the darkness to reach the light. Or rather, step out of the light to reach the Light.

At the end of our light there lies a gate, a gate of Night that leads you to the darkness. And through the darkness lies an even greater gate; a gate of greater Light. It is in this greater Light that we are transformed, that we are given a second chance. Our eyes are opened, and 'clear' is nothing in comparison to how well we can now see. To obtain our True Light we have to journey through our True Darkness.

There the gate stands- anchored in hell and reaching heaven. A young woman stands before it. "Are you ready, my child?" she asks as she extends her right hand to yours.
