I don't usually write these blog type things, but I知 not sure about this game anymore.
Thing is, I知 in year 11 and I have no idea if I should play this game anymore, I wanted to become "popular" and well known but I failed at that, obviously, and I can't take the constant reminder that most people on this game are small little children, (if you don't realise I hate children) who spurt insults at my level/class and whatnots, I tried becoming powerful but that also failed as I realised that my luck is too high, and I don't intend on resetting so that I can do 100 more damage.
I'm not sure if I should bother anymore I知 lvl 123 now and haven稚 met a single f/p in game that is higher.
This brings me onto my next point; no one knows what I am! They all presume I知 a I/L even after seeing obviously fire related skills, this may not sound like much but, recently whilst training I got booted from a party for not being i/l...
Who knows what will happen, I致e completed all my goals all my dreams, and yet I知 filled with a certain unease that I have done something wrong and maybe it's time to recover from it.
I confess that I have paid probably over 500$ on this game in one year, that could of been spent on better things.
I'll wait until my 2x exp expires and then decide oXLAMAXo fate.

You shouldn't force yourself to train etc.. If you're getting bored of the game, just take a break and one day you'll wake up and think "Hey, I'm in the mood to play maple".
Somewhere in November I took a 2-months break because I got bored of the game and now I'm back =] The whole maple community changed, as you said, most of the players are just annoying kids. But as long as you have some awesome buddies/guildmates you don't really need those kids anyway.
Even though you aren't that popular(don't forget that 80% of the "popular" players are smega-bitches), don't forget that you're still my motivation to get to 120
Like Quetzal said, don't think of Maple as a job. If you do, you'll get bored of it. If you want to just do nothing and just talk to your buddies or guild, do it. You don't always have to train... That's the thing with 2x, it makes people "have" to train in the given time..
I took a 4 month break awhile ago (2 months of just not wanting to play and 2 months of not being able to play), and all it did was make me realize that I don't have to always be stressing over training and such.
I know that doing this doesn't make you level fast (Still 72 after over a year...), but it does make you enjoy the game.
So... maybe take a break from Maple if you want to, but also, just don't make it into your "job" to level. Have fun!

f/p is a lonely job after all i have to admit, since i'm a f/p myself. although my lvl is nothing comparing 2 urs but i have been playing since beta, so i guess i can understand it a little bit. the nature of our skills forces us to solo rather than being a party-type of class like priests. it's a matter of fact, just face it. think it this wai mate, wat was it that made u choose f/p over i/l and cleric when u talked to Grandel? wat was it that kept u going? if u really dislike f/p, u wouldn't have gone this far, would u?  u no how ppl always say "it's not the arrival that matters, but the journey u experienced"
also regarding to ur study, well, i'm in yr 11 too and i'm in sydney so i guess i can pretty much figure out the pressure u r under rite now. my advice is to cut down ur time on maple for sure but don't push it too hard. i'm only playing like once a wk, for an hr maybe, sometimes less. yes, it is temptating but u've got to realise the difference between virtual world and reality.
