First of all, the drama; it was driving me insane both in real life and ingame. In real life, my ex-best friend moved, and I was dealing with her backstabbing me whenever she wanted to. And ingame wasn't any better. While my buddies ingame were absolutely fab., some of my buddies disliked my other buddies. It got into a huge fight, and I was in the middle of it. But I knew that if I told them, they would stop me from quitting. So I just left--never went back on--and I was fine until my ex-best friend.
Secondly, it was addicting. I loved and do love to play MapleStory, and it takes up most of my time when I am on the computer. I wanted to be a better friend, and I thought that maybe things between my ex-best friend and me could change if I put forth enough effort. So I quit.
Then, over New Year's 2008, I was sleeping over at my ex-best friend's house. We went on the computer, and she went on MapleStory. She had told me she had rejoined, so I rejoined. My ex-best friend doesn't really go on much, but I still do.
Make sense? I know it's confusing, but trust me, I simplified it. This girl has done horrible bad things to me and others. Everyone in my school hates her. She's spread nasty rumors that got the police and other familes involved; hacked mine and Jack's NeoPets accounts when I was in 5th grade numerous times; and is in general annoying, snotty and snobbish. I thought she would change as I was willing to, but obviously she didn't know how to be a good friend. Not even great. Just good.
So I called it quits... but that's another story.
