I will be talking about WoW in this post, I hope you read it but I warn you simply because there are some of you who actually don't want to hear it.

First off, I try not to bring it up unless someone else does first, but people always hate on WoW for "taking us away" and comparing the two games wouldn't do it justice. You simply can't, although they are both mmos; they really offer up a different experience. Its true, the company treats you fairly, the content is unbelievable, I've talked with a GM 3 times now and always had any inconveniences dealt with in a timely manner. The gameplay memories are the best I've had in years, when its you and a bunch of friends storming the desolated and warn torn vistas of places called "HELLFIRE CITADEL!" or simply wandering through the pristine fields of Nagarand -- you get the real feeling like the developers actually put time, effort and care into what they present to you.

There is a story to these characters and a richness to the world. If you don't care about that, theres gameplay too. A big thing people have always decried the game in comparison to MS is that it isn't "social" enough. To me, being social is not only chatting with people but what you DO with them. In pvp Manda and I have defended against attacks of 5 other people with just the two of us, we laugh and communicate and of course we have those memories. In guild runs of instances(PQs) you have to play your character so well at the endgame level that the slightest slip up will cause the group to wipe. So you're not stuck with people who are disinterested in the game.

However, if you try to play the game solo, you WILL feel left out a bit. There are some glitches, there are some pricks who play -- some things are universal. You will probably die a lot and not enjoy the game if you're on your own, you will probably feel overwhelmed by a game that is so rich and vast that the thought of it might intimidate you. But, if you give it a solid chance, I'm talking a solid month or two of playing and you find a niche in the community -- I think everybody here will find it even more rewarding simply based on the fact that its developers treat you so much better. Also, if you feel you want to just start a trial, or don't want to be alone or just simply need advice. I'll be there, I already have 4 characters but I will make another to quest and do instances with you, I will help set up your adventures with a few gold and direct you to all the websites that will make your gaming that much easier.

I make this offer because I don't like the idea of my friends having to worry that they will be hacked and having to put up with a game that really isn't stood behind by its developers. Some of you will find some trouble "letting go" of your accomplishments, but to that I say I have a 4th jobber, another character 4 levels away from it and yet another thats 10% from 100. Sure, I hated giving up all that to play another game at first; it was frustrating but we've both found it way more rewarding and fun. Having to pony up that initial cost and monthly fee seems horrible and I stayed away for so long due to that, but to be perfectly honest -- I don't really play any other game in my spare time; its that good.

I'd hate to think that people will view this as "MS suxxors nd WoW roxxors u r nab if u dun thnk so" message. What I'm really trying to get across is that I hate to think of you fine people playing a game that flat out doesn't respect you. Also, I am not completely altruistic -- I want some of my old online buddies back and having alot more fun with us. I know about 6 broans who are on our server alone, and they all love it.

PM me if you're interested, Ravencrest is our server and the horde is our faction. I won't mentioned the game here ever again unless asked I promise, and here, have some screenshots.

1 - Nagarand with the Mandar; notice the pretty.
2 - The end of an instance, we toppled the surly dwarf who led this kingdom so it felt only natural to me to kick his carcass off the throne and take his place as the new orc king. Trainjacker = Planejacker from MS(Hector!)

I would play WoW, it looks interesting and stuff, but there's two things

1) I can't leave everyone on MS and
2) I don't want to decide between Manda/You and co or Liam and Alex

that, and I think my compy might implode :| Then my mum would have to buy me a new compy *ponders*, I could pay for one but I'm saving for my course (relaxation massage baby!). But aside from those 2 (3?) things, I probably would try out WoW, maybe I'll play it as a side thing? I don't know.

PS, Any idea what server Liam/Alex are on? Also, you and Manda should do your adv on MS :| You've waited so long, It'd be a waste to just leave it, then again you two could stay the highest level DK/CB D:

I've been trying 10-day trials of WoW, unfortunately I went on Jake's (Zaiku) server to test these out. Is your server PvP or PvE? He's lvl 70 but aside from him I have no other social connections.

Of course, I am dead set to hit 4th job in maple before I cease the NX cards and 2x Exp cards, and (if I enjoy my trails enough) buy the Battle Chest for WoW.
Bands: Eh?

Our server is Normal -- we can PVP or PVE ^_^

Hmm, if I have a social network awaiting me on a normal server that's a plus. But I'll always have Jake telling me I'm on a "carebear server" cause PvP isn't free-range.
