I was in an IBO program in high school (which basically translates into advanced classes), and I was 5 years into the program (5 years is how long high school is here). Anyway, I'd done my 50 community hours (required to get the IBO diploma), I was passing each one of my classes, etc. Last but not least, to graduate from that program, you have to have done a "personal project", which is basically a project you choose to do, they give you a year and a half to do it, and they expect something insane, they grade it by university standards.
Anyway, about a year into it, I was talking with one of my teachers, and somehow, he let slip that our school wasn't even accredited for said IBO program, that they still needed to improve on some things to get it (I remember they were stupid bull shit reasons too, according to him, "need school uniforms" and "need to fix school up a bit more", nothing regarding the actual curriculum). At that point, I remember asking my teacher, and I quote, "Well can you explain to me why the fuck I'm working like a fucking slave then?". Naturally he told me to watch my language, and then started spewing bullshit about work ethic or something. So I scraped most of the work I'd done up to that point, and made a little comic book with stick figures. I failed it, obviously.
Bands: Lately, PJ Harvey, Explosions in the Sky, Boards of Canada, Phish, etc.
how can a comic with stick figures cause failure of said class? yes
