oh okay the difference between final fantasy 13 AND final fantasy versus 13 is...
Final Fantasy 13 and FF13 Agito I believe has the same story line. Agito is like the side story of FF13, if I am correct.
But! Final Fantasy Versus 13 is a whole new story and the story doesn't connect to FF13. It has its own story. And the best thing is, FF Versus 13 is created by the staffs of Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy something. I think it's either seven or just FF. Well anyway, FF VERSUS 13 IS CREATED BY TETSUYA NOMURA! X3 He's the character director and the one who created FFVII AND FFVII AC!!!! AWESOME-NESS X3
