Long, long ago, back before himes, but after Death Teddies were patched, Aqua was packed to the gills with rangers and snipers, with priests. Today, this simple pairing, which occasionally in the past took in crusaders or DKs, Sins if desperated, the occasional ice mage, and never a WK, has seemingly vanished, and the users that knew how to goby party are few and far better. This is a disappointment to me as a ranger that learned how to train at gobies from the best, CookiesNMilk and Ryuzokai, coming to mind.

I've adapted to the hermits, but what I still can't adapt to is the lack of manners from the cb nubs (which has more or less always been a problem), and the new problem of archers that just don't know how to goby. Tonight I was stopped by a sniper who informed me my training would go much better if I used a puppet in the gobies. I'm not exactly a sniper so this strategy might work better if you have ice, but even then it seems pointless. As I've always understood it the order is very simple. Break goby house -> Inferno to keep them together and lure -> Arrow Rain to death. 3 Steps, easy. Add frills if you like to finish the last one with strafe or have a hawk. Even so, why so many nub Rangers that don't follow this?

Furthermore, since when has it been acceptable for the party to run around and no have plats. It's like no one even knows where the plats end anymore -_-...
(additionally, 3 attackers per party, unless you're all really weak... not 4, this isn't squids)

Seriously, please try to use manners. When you come into a map check. If someone asks you for advice, then feel free to give them your opinion (unless you're partied with them and doing it terribly wrong). Don't just stop them out of the blue and make assumptions. Thanks for the time guys, see you out there.

i get 3.5-4mil exp an hour gbpting with just me, one other attacker, and an attacking priest. This method is only good when you're higher lvled though. Also nick, the puppet technique is more or less for the weaker (x)bowmen. At higher lvls it's easier and faster to just inferno to attract gobies and finish them off with rain. At lower lvls it would save more pots by using puppet. as for the no assigned plat parties, i have no clue how that works. There's usually plats assigned by the party. If the party has weaker member that might not be able to match the speed of the party, one of the higher lvls would be assigned to help out the weaker player's plat when they have no spawn.

When I gain a few more levels, it would be cool to join you in a party, if you need me. I think it'd be a lot better with a pole arm, though and more accuracy, of course. I miss horribly now.

Nick, you're asking for manners in a game full of freaking nibs and spoiled kiddies. GG.
(Not accusing you, just stating a sad fact >_> )

Like I said, my road is there if you need it

Nick... Unfortunately I don't think this is confined to gobies. =/

The other day at duals, me and francis were with Isiyac and (iirc) another WK. Isiyac was a level above francis, but on a higher plat because of his lack of elemental damage. The WHOLE time he kept insisting that he could do better than francis, or even me on a lower plat. I can't tell you how often saders have told me that my damage rate doesn't count because of fire charge and taken a lower plat anyway. It's just the way MS is lately, unfortunately

Olol, lookit our chat box.

duals isn't a place you want to be nick.

>.> why is that?

well for rangers, you'd use maybe 1mil in pots for every 10 minutes at your lvl (that's if you want decent exp).

I don't know specifics for archers besides standing at the top of plat 2 and firing like crazy, but if you're the bowmnan that gets inferno, it should serve you well in the future

Besides, you'd only really want to be at duals if it turned a profit for you. I get like, less than .01% per kill now, I think it's even a little under that with 2x =/
