hello im really depressed atm i installed vista but product key didnt work
has anyone got a copy of vista they bought but didnt use
thank you and if i could have it plzn that would be great

Lol, at least purchase your own key. Obtaining one illegally isn't the best idea, especially not for windows operating systems.
If you did purchase the CD and key, send in a complaint to microsoft.

Did you try safe mode? Even if nothing can be accessed, there are still ways even not using safe mode that can be done before a reformat.
Two main ones I usually recommend (obviously depending on the issue) are loading the last known good configuration via the boot selection menu, or using the windows CD to run the repair console so you can type in the commands to reload the possibly missing boot and other specific system files.

Even borrowing a CD would have worked.

There are also ways to get passed an admin password. Namely ophcrack.

yes but how could i use the crack if i couldnt access documents
and besides my dad has a compaq and my mom has a toshiba both laptops, im the only one with a desktop lol
