As you can see, there are two people smiling on this picture. One of them is me. Who am I?
Yes, the girl. Not the guy, the girl. The guy is a Dutch singer called Rolf Koster.
My position on Basil Market, as my title clearly states, is an awkward one. yes, I am accepted by most members, but still I have some remarks, good and bad. I'll list them here:
1. I am European. According to some people I am not supposed to be playing GMS. It's a game for North America only, after all. I have been called "trash", "no life" (Since the abbreviation of the name of my country is "nl" , and time after time I have been told how my country/continent is inferior to the USA. Now take my word: Only few people have said that USA thing.
They feel I'm leeching off thier game, but as long as Nexon tolerates me they should shut up.
2. I have a tanned character and I have been called "neegar" once, but that was just once and it was a troll. Good job, Basil.  The guy got banned right away, by the way.
3. I noticed how guys tend to speak about girls as "chicks" and they're often boasting about "If I could travel through time I'd go to the future, bang a girl and travel back." Also they (those guys, not every guy) believe they can knock out a whole bunch of people all on their own, and think they can floor a girl by "patting her or giving her a little shove". Also, when a girl doesn't give them what they want they call her "whore". I don't want to sound feminist, but I really hate that kind of talking. My brothers talked like that when they were 9. besides, I'm a girl and a Martial Artist. Think they can shove me and floor me with a "beech clap"?
4. I have also been called a no-lifer and "nerdygirl" cause apparently girls don't play games.
5. Religion-threads annoy the hell out of me (Okay, that pun came unsuspected) because they always end up in a serious "Atheist vc Christian" flame war in which even the mods take sides. For me as an Agnost it's hard to try and be objective. Those threads only lead to hatred, and serve no purpose in my opinion.
6. It's good there are less "Hermits are idiot KSers" threads.
7. People stereotype people from the US as dumb and fat, Asians as hyper-smart but having small *things*, Europeans as stupid and helpless and, to be more specific, the Dutch males as gay pot addicted farmers and the Dutch females as pot addicted whores. Cool. Sorry if I stereotype that as illogical.
8. Grammar Nazis: when someone writes "tyop" on stead of "typo" it has to do with spelling, and not with "grammer", as a LOT of Grammar Nazis call it. Tip: When being a Grammar Nazi, also double check your own spelling. Or better: don't post. I sometimes produce a "Dutchism" and get becritisized hugely over that.
9. Being brave behind a screen is an act of fear, try being brave in real life in stead. I've been called "gay" enough by someone who doesn't know me at all. Besides, I'm straight.
10. Yeah, I know my attack range (677-1103) is low. And that STR Bandits aren't as strong as LUK Bandits. But I couldn't really appreciate it when people called me a "failure". The only one I could appreciate was "STR Bandits are not human". I never knew pixels were human. It gave me a good laugh.
I would like to thank the Moderators for bringing order into chaos. There are many good things on this website too. Maybe I'll list them in the future.
Yeah, yeah I know I should not make a fuss out of it, but sometimes it gets my blood boiling.

As I've said before "if my 'weak' damage range prevents me from 2-3 hitting a monster instead of a luk bandit 1-2 hitting it, then I'll admit defeat, but the fact it, that most (especially unfunded) LUK CBs only outdamage me by a bit and that, in no way, makes them suddenly be able to kill a monster in less hits. Sorry, it just doesn't"

6. I think you're correct on that... Assassin vs Bandit-threads are also on the return. Every time I see one I just link through to that weird guide-thingy in the Guide section in which I've been called an idiot at least twice.

10. Yeah. Only in game an unfunded LUK Bandit gave me 750 to "fix ur noob damage". I didn't really know how to react to that. XD Plus I get the impression most CBs on Basil are insanely rich and insanely funded, making poor Touz with her 60M a bit... hobo-ish. Though I can get what I want and increase my damage. I've been searching the FM for a good River for several weeks; never found one.
I'm really good at writing long stories, by the way. XD I'm working on a "how to save money using Chakra and smart Savage Blow strategies" guide and that one's getting kinda long too.

It really pisses me off how people can be so shallow, especially over a 2D pixelised character. I mean, how should that effect (affect? effect? Argh) how they treat you, you're still human right?

Religion threads... I avoid them completely. But that means having to avoid about 60% of the Chat area.
And wow, 60mil..? I only have like 50mil and that's with Gacha. >_>;; I'm stupidly unlucky with drops though.

Number 1 has happened to me a couple of times, not just on Basil, but also in game. I guess some people don't find it fair that Europeans can still play GMS to some extend. Those people generally appear to flame a bit on the forum, call some names and then proceed to try and hack their way into JMS and KMS.
I look tired on that piccy. I had come there just to meert the guy and before his vocal group was up I had to endure 6 hours of quite old men making dirty remarks and trying to chat me up. I am never going to go there again. XD But thanks. My hair is kinda unique. I have been christened "Hermione" by some people for it.
I'm not really lucky with drops either, but I have a buddy who somehow manages to always get "top dollar" (It's an expression he uses and I know no substitute for it ) for the stuff he sells for me. My 6 attack Gold Pow "moved over" for a stunning 8M, for example.
affect is correct. I don't really know why people spaz about NXless looks. I have been called a "poor hobo" (isn't that a pleonasm?) once for being NXless.... Well, my parents have a pretty large house and a 13 meters long yacht, so we're not poor.

Well, there are three major Bakuras; Yami no Bakura, Bakura Ryou and Touzokuou Bakura-Sama. Yami and Ryou are both yellow-ish, but Touzokuou is copper. He's the mean guy with the purple eyes and the yellow hood (which he takes off) and the blue skirt, (which he does not take off) link. he does have "the hair", but not the "I'm terriobly sick and I will dsoon be dying" colour of the other Bakura.s XD
He's a Bandit and a murderer.

8. Yeah, also. There is a pretty new guy on Basil who reacts kinda harsh to most threads (he is not an unpleasant person, just harsh) and he starts all sentences with a bold letter. People attack him because of that, he does his best to find a flaw in their spelling, etc, etc...
I have been becritisized in a thread (in which I was being nice) because of "baaaaaaad spelling". I "misspelled" these words:
- Honour
- Paedophile
- Arse
That guy did not know there is a difference between British spelling and American spelling, apparently.
9. To be gay is to be evil, in many Basiller's perspective. So people they hate are simply called "ghey" or "h0mo" or "quer", or anything. They don't even want to write the word down normally.
Trolls are quickly cut down nowadays, but when I accused one of the mods for trolling I just saw him on the other day. I guess he did not agree.
10. I love the Cursayer too. I don't know why people hate on others for being weaker. Guess what, I was called "queer" and "gay" for being a STR Bandit too. XD
People don't understand why we make them, but for most people money isn't an issue. XD
