You would expect employers would jump at the idea of hiring someone for minimum wage in todays competitive market. Guess not.
So far, I've been looking for a job for over a month. Applications left and right, phone calls, all the bullshit and I get nothing. It's not a fucking surprise, actually. These don't show a thing. What happened to good old-fashioned face-to-face interviews? What ever happened to decency? It all comes at the best moment possible.

Maybe I just have horrible luck.

I know what you mean.

Went to Best Buy a while back, and I go up to the customer service people and ask them if I can give them my CV. They tell me to apply online, and I'm like "ok, but can I still leave my CV here", to which they answered "no". I mean, honestly. I practically ran a (small) store for about a year, and it says on my CV, but people still seem really reluctant to call even if it is from a shit minimum wage job.

But eh, what can you do.

Just keep it up, the holidays are upon us, lots of positions should be opening up.

Get a paper route. When I had a route, I never saw my employer once.

Employers don't seem to like dropouts, either.

Eeep.. I woulda thought they would need even more employees right now due to Christmas and blah. =/ Have you tried calling up to see if they've even looked at your application yet?

I've been sorta looking for a job, but right now I'm reaaaaally glad I haven't been accepted anywhere. Assignments suck.

And I'm officially sick of "No Surprises" by Radiohead. *Had to edit it to make it loop... It took a while because I fail at sound editing* ._.;;

Come over to my place and I'll set you up with a job at In-N-Out. Really.
