Whenever I hit a backspin I seem to hesitate to hit the ball until the "right" moment. And when I hit it, the ball goes to the left instead of straight. I need help fixing that. Also whenever I hit the ball I try to put a lot of spin into it, so when i was learning how to put spin on the ball i made the racket go up at like 80 degrees so I can barely even get the ball over the net sometimes. Help. Sad face ;(

I know EXACTLY what you are going through on the forehand/spin. I tried what many coaches tend to recomend, imagine as if you are hitting through eight balls nailed together in a line. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o
You must go through the line, not "whip" over the ball.
On the bakhands, make sure you are hitting the ball far enough in front of you. Practice by having someone bounce a ball to you and get into position two or three feet behind the ball. This forces you to swing out towards the ball, rather than getting jammed and making the error. Hope this helped.

Wait...Together in a line, is that same thing as follow-through? If it is, then yeah thats the best technique you should try, and for spin, try tilting the racket.
Bands: Soulja Boy!
Continental grip, high to low, through the ball.
Bands: No.
