Hi, lol, I like to draw, but I suck at it, yet, I am the master of stick figyah comics!!!!!

Any tips for a beginner, I know everyone says practice, but I really suck, I want to make flashes (like RE4, my friend is obsessed).

what i do is draw a circle, add a few messy lines for hair, depends on hair style, make 2 parallel lines under the head up and down about an inch apart, add a third line on the right/left, depends which way hes facing, about a centimeter long for the arm facing you, and another about 1/4 a centimeter for the opposite side, extend the lines as long as u want for legs, add another line in the middle, make the leg closer to u a bit thicker, and add shoes o.O
sre, long instructions and not the easiest was 2 say it o_O
thats how i draw tho

I'm still quite the noob at drawing. I haven't started doing the whole "start with shapes and lines as guides and add details and whatnot" stuff. I just think it up, start with the head, then work my way down through the body. i'm working on ruffles in clothes. I'm not very good at making decent looking folds, but at least it's better than what I used to do, which was to make clothes flat XD

I often look at the work of other artists to help better my own style. I take note of things they do in their drawings and try them out myself. From there, I change things and make them a part of my unique-ish style.

if I just plain DREW more, I'd be far better off. MS sucks up a lot of my time XD

true, ever since i started playing maplestory, i haven't been drawing at all. and when i do that head to bottom drawing thing, my drawing comes out slightly slanted. haha

its not just practise, you have to look and observe at other people's art. I recommend browsing deviantart.com, some good flash animator are unknown-person--search hime up on google--you could see his progress for a whole year--it was exponential. Just keep drawing, no matter how it sucks--I have a routine of drawing 3-4 hours a day(yes i'm crazy) start at drawing simple shapes, then start adding the details afterward.

Good luck!
