There's a popular restaurant in my city called "The Purple Pub." It's a fine place to eat American food like steak, burgers, and seafood. But what the place is most known for is its Pizza. The Pizza is delicious, take my word for it. I love that pizza. There is also a Bar at the front end of the restaurant.
I've been working at this place for about 5 months now.
I do dishes. It's the worst job ever.
If anyone has ever had to do dishes for a busy restaurant, you know exactly what I mean.
Basically, what I do is touch left over food for 6 hours straight. I take the dirty dish and scrape the leftover food into a garbage. Then, I put the dirty plate on a rack and it goes into the dish washing machine for about a minute. It may not seem bad, but it is. After work, I smell horrible. The only thing I want to do is to get into the shower and cleanse my skin of the vile, nauseating, stench that has cultivated itself on my body.
I make 7.15 an hour. Minimum wage.
Why stay here, you ask?
Why not look for a better job?
Well... my uncle co-owns the place. My brother bar-tends and my sister waitresses. It's impossible for me to quit. -_- My best friend also works here with his 3 brothers, and his father. It's like I was born to work here. (dammit)
Hopefully I wont be doing dishes for long. I'd do anything to drop dishes and bus tables or help out as a bar-back.
Oh well, Life's a Bich. x]
When I move away for college (FAR away) I'm finally gonna say peace to this joint for good.

Atleast you get paid to do the dishes for someone else. At home, I never do. T_T Couldn't you ask to be promoted to something more interesting though?
I had a job which I couldn't quit either, I worked for my parents in their takeaway shop. It was pretty crap, just close the little box things, organise which ones go in what bags, fry the chips, pour the sauce, etc, etc. Luckily, I got paid quite a bit for it. >_> But it was still crap.

lol i know the solution just ask for a different job or something like i dunno ask your uncle to put a help wanted sign up so he can higher someone else and you can become one of the waiters or something
