If someone draws something which looks pretty much traced, people worship it? While art which is fucking amazing, which used imagination and creativity gets put down because it's "Not Maple-y" enough or whatever. So retarded.

Also, I'm gonna be moving into my new house on Sunday! I'm really looking forward to it actually, because Halls sucked due to the amount of messy people and thieves. (Sharing between 10 people is never fun) And also, my parents like raping the internet, while being nosy as hell. I've got a tiny tiiiiiiny room though, because I had offered to swap with my other housemate because I don't need the space, while she does.

I can't wait to go shopping for the house, I wanna make it look all pretty. ;-; We're only there for 2 years though, so we can't do too much, but it should still be fun. I'm definitely gonna be getting these to decorate my room with, one pack red, one back with the greys. That site has such awesome graphics, but it's just that a very limited amount which you can restick on. =/

I'm reaaaaaaaaally not looking forward to going back to classes though, to be honest. I don't actually talk to anyone in my classes, and the 2 retarded people I spoke to last year (I refuse to call them friends), I really, really dislike now. (Basically, I helped them out shitloads because they're just stupid as hell, but the one time I needed help and they knew what to do, they didn't. Sooo...), and since this is our second year, everyone'll be in their little groups now. And I find it hard enough to make friends anyway. >_> Well, we'll just see how it goes. Blarggg.

Also, join Fusion Bar. =O

Attached is my progress of my drawing. I haven't been working on it much because that arm is reaaaaaaaaaally pissing me off, badly.

WOW! You're getting really good at drawing. What book(s) are you using to learn btw?

I don't really use any. XD; I have an anatomy book, but it doesn't have any decent poses I can steal. I can find like a million things wrong with it, but it's just that I have no idea how to sort it out. Ah well... But thanks anyway. ^^;

WHO CARES if it's traced?
She drew it for her friends, and it's good enough for us, especially since we didn't ask her to do it.
She put it up on basil/whatever other website to show it to some of us since she hasn't been able to go on MS, and the other people commenting it are just being nice.
Please don't get so worked up about it, afterall, it's just a friend thing anyways.."

Because, it insults a lot of artists out there, who can actually draw with talent, their own style, and creativity. (lol, I'm not saying I'm one of them, but anyway) So what if she drew it for friends? Nothing wrong with keeping it between friends, right? I've sketched a couple of my Profil3 friends without them asking, but I'm not posting it for the whole world to criticise, because I don't want it. If she knew it was just "practice" as she said to me (When denying it was traced, when I pretty much have proof it was), then why bother posting it if it's not your best stuff? It's not like you could get constructive criticism if it's just literally copied. (Or traced, in her case)

Anyway. It's not just about hers, I've seen absolutely loads of exact replicas of MS characters, and it pisses me off that so many people praise them when barely any creativity is required. And then I see some amazing art, where they look more like real people than cartoons, and they get like 20 comments in total and a lot of them are just saying "It looks too realistic. Not Maple-y enough" or some crap along them lines. I'd absolutely love to be able to draw like that, but it's just bashed for having its own style. Don't you think it's a little wrong?

Hi thar. Just thought I'd visit (next bus only passes in 30 minutes -_-).

Uhhhh, well, I still love the pastelly feeling of the drawing, it kind of looks like it was painted with paint mixed with whipped cream or something. Delicious. The hair still kind of bugs me xP, maybe if you sort of erased the little bit of hair that's overlapping the forearm, it might make the arm come out a bit. I dunno. Personally, I think the arm looks fine, maybe a tad short, but it's not noticeable. If someone calls you on it, just say it's "stylized". Also, I think she might be a smoker, either that or she has a small case of jaundice.

And as for making friends, I was actually talking to a friend about that, she was saying it's hard to make friends in "higher" places of learning (uni, namely), because people mostly just focus on the work they have to do (can't really blame em). ANd we were having this discussion just outside her building, which is kind of like a picnic area, so I looked around and there was this girl just laying down on the grass. I kinda gathered myself and went over and sat beside her. Suffice it to say it was pretty awkward, I think she was pretending to sleep to avoid talking to me. Could've been worse though, like... I didn't get maced or anything.

Anyway, good luck with the shopping and the classes.

(the hell, it said my post was too long)

Hmm, try taking pictures of yourself in the desired poses (turn off the flash). It may be a little tricky to do it by yourself though.

As for people who trace MapleStory characters, I agree that it shouldn't be passed off as artwork. Tracing doesn't require much effort. In fact, there are applications with auto-trace features that will do it for you. Tracing should be reserved for times that you need a look-alike, but the original can't be used as is for one reason or another.

...Ignore them? Idk I got nothing.

Yay, anselm! *Hugs*

Pfft, don't say that. It's gonna make me wanna lick the screen every time I mess with it now. (Well, paint is just as tasty too >_> Yeah, I attempted to make it look a bit more natural by shoving aload of shadows underneath, but it still didn't work. I'll just try cutting it shorter instead or something. It's strange how all the right side has 3 curls, while the other side has 4 anyway. XD The yellowness is to do with the future fire arrow though. =P It'll look fine eventually, honest.

To be honest, I had so much free time at Uni in my first year. But that's mainly because I procrastinate til a day before work has to be in, but anyway. I suppose also when you're a little kid, you can get away with saying "Wanna be my bestest friend??", and then breaking friends, then making friends, breaking, etc.. And I'm really shy myself, so if someone just came up to me and tried to start talking to me, I'd just be thinking "wtf do they want?". ^^; It's nice to see you again though! How's life been to you? (Also, I think quoting gets rid of that thing)

And Omar, I have very little self esteem in myself, so the last thing I'd want to do is stare at photos of myself. XD I wish I had naked people on demand at times. I'm glad you agree with me about the tracing thing though. I'm not too liked by her friends at the moment, but ah well. (For some reason, they kept thinking I was stupid enough to think the guy posted it traced over her art..? Yeah, I dunno.)

have fun and i totaly agree with you on the tracing part. anyone can trace but it takes skill to draw freehand. well good luck and have a nice day
Bands: the fray

1) I dont know what you're talking about but as rabid art enthusiast for almost 6 six, I know good art when I see it. And that arm is so not crappy.

2) Good luck in your new home

3) About friends, I had always seen Asian girls stick to other Asian girls like magnets. Disturbing enough, Asian girls always tightly stay in their impenetrable Asian group of friends. (not stalker) You should find groups like that (if there are any)

Also, guys instinctively favor having girl friends than boy friends even they have more boy friends so usually its easier for a girl to become friends with a guy
Bands: A rubber band. Lol witty

Because most of the people either can't analize arts or afraid to admit they understand thus being in a pressing sociaty.

Wow 10 people?that's not fun
Why don't you try to move to other college/whatever you learn at and study the same subjects/whatever?Unless it's the best school for that subject/whatever.
Blogs: Oh my god,

Everyone has different tastes in art I guess, even if it's traced easily. Or an exact copy, just drawn out, which isn't very hard.
Who knows, maybe there are just too many idiots taking over the world...

And I hate people like that who use you and never really repay back.
