I'm alright. I don't think any kind of preparation could have gotten my ready for high school o.o It's so crazy dude. Homework isn't that bad since we have block classes but each class is 90 minutes and it gets sooo boring.

We don't have many Catholics here, by the way. Just like Germany the Netherlands is mainly Protestant. (Funny how the Pope does come from Germany, though)

In the Shuri-Ryu dicipline it takes 2/3 years to get a belt on average... It will have taken me 1.5 years. That's pretty soon. But congratulations on your black belt.

Catholicism has a completely different reputation here; it goes as one of the more strict kinds of Christianity. The most relaxed kind of something called "Reformed Protestant" and the strictest kind "Reformed Reformed" (we have to words for "reformed" in Dutch) or "Evangelism". Maybe how strict a religion is differs per country.

Seventh Day Adventist, Pentacosters and Mormons are so rare we don't even know much about them. Only that there's one Pentacost-politician who keeps saying homosexuals must go to hell, etc etc. Ah well.

Haha, most of the sex here on Tc comes from US movies... though when there's "Dutch" sex, so to say, we do see.... naked body parts, in the case of women.

I've always been wondering... (and I'm in NO WAY holding you responsible for this

, or Chridtians in general) I see so many people divorcing, committing adultery, whatever.... many of them being Christian as well. I wonder how they do that and are still able to call themselves good Christians.

Unless they gave their own interpretation to the BIble, which is happening here as well. I belief Dutch Christians have now settled on homosexuality being a direct consequence of Adam and Eve's sin and that therefore gay people should not be punished or hated for being gay. But most churches still won't marry them. The churches I so now and then go to (even though I'm agnostic) are totally pro gay and do marry gay people. I don't knowe how my deceased grandfather (he was a vicar) thought about gay marriage, but he didn't seem to think negative about gay people.

It's very confusing to me, since I believe altering the Bible is a deathly sin.... but does interpreting the Bible in various ways count as altering?

Meh, I have the habit to doubt EVERYTHING. XD

I'm going to do my Karate exam in December and hopefully I'll get the Blue Belt!

I'm really nervous about my Katas, though, and I'm sure my Sensei is going to have me doing the Kata known as Kata Wunsuu (a little brother of the Kata Wansu) in all its three different forms! (Normal, Bunkai and Interpretation) I won't be surprised if she's going to have me doing it with a knife, because though this Kata is normally to be done with empty hands, I designed a special form in which I was using a knife and she liked it so much that I had to do it in front of the whole Dojo. XD
