I think I'm gonna organize it by 2nd and 3rd job. In 3rd job, I'll list the 4th job skills that may affect their decision.
Explosion VS. ______(PR?) Slow VS. Cold Beam Pros: -Slow is extremely useful for Papu fights. If you have ever been in a pap fight where you crossover every 2 rounds between sleeps, you realize how annoying it can be. Slow can help you, with at least 70% or so KB rate, to be able to keep him in a corner. -Once IS and Comp are maxed, you will never use Cold Beam again. Magic Comp is superior in every way. Some people prefer skills that will last them forever. Cons: -Training with Lightening until around 75 when your Ice Strike gets stronger may be boring to some people. Even though training without Cold Beam may not necessarily be slower training, but it may affect your interest in playing your I/L. -When you are still at DTs, and before your IS is maxed, or even before Magic Comp is maxed, using IS on a single monster is impractical. IS does about the same damage (??) on a monster as Cold Beam. The difference is that Cold Beam is significantly faster than IS. Holy Arrow VS. Teleport/MP Eater/Bless Thunder Spear VS. Partial Resistance lol, well it's a start. I'll have to talk to Amhenia and Elu on their ideas with Explosion builds.
