I don't think that really held anything of value, reading that from you after all that screaming today.
Like you said, I'm dropping it because obviously, this isn't going to get anywhere -- unless you want to continue fighting, because you just assumed I like fighting even though I don't. I just find it necessary, when you do this to me with no regards to my feelings.

Why didn't you just drop the ring? It takes less time than actually clicking on it and typing out my name. You know you don't mean it and you perfectly knew I would react like this. After all, there have been other encounters where I've been pissed at you because of what you've done. I was happy because I thought you actually meant to give me the ring. I was happy because I thought you gave it to me thinking of me first, because you actually wanted me to have it. It just turns out that I was given it because you didn't get your number one. I thought you meant the ring for /me/, and exclusively /me/ only, because I actually /had/ explored the idea of liking you. "I'd expect you to understand when someone makes a mistake and says he's sorry for it that he means it." There's something wrong about that statement : You never did say sorry. You would've known it was a friendship marriage if you hadn't been obsessed with your own things, when she announced it was a marriage for friends. If you hadn't meant to hurt anyone's feelings, you would've told me why you gave me the ring, what you were going to do, and why you were going to do so. You can't expect me to say, "Okay  " after dropping a ring when I thought you gave it to me, Viv, not me, a friend who isn't Diana.

Let's look at it from my view, shall we? (Sorry, we can't look at it from yours; you just don't get the point.)
You couldn't propose to Diana, because she got married. You didn't know what to do with the damned ring. You decided to give it to the first person you thought of. Me. Naturally, I was flattered you'd do that. But I thought you gave it to me /willingly/, as in /first choice/. Not second. I don't like when people choose me because there's no other. That gets me pissed&offended, for one, and two, I was hurt you had to give the ring to someone in the end (i.e. me, so I was the one who was hurt; you've known me for quite a while -- shouldn't you consider us friends? Why even hurt a friend? Is it because you don't want to be my friend anymore and have to find something to end it quickly?). You later realize the marriage was for friends only. You realize you might have a chance at getting what you want. You drop the ring, assuming I'd be okay with that. (Which I'm not. You didn't warn me, for one, and you can't use the excuse, 'You weren't on', because my sister was on the day you dropped that ring and I was watching her. Two, assuming makes an ass out of you and me. But in this case, more you.) Then you don't offer something good enough to even be an explanation. To me, it really said, "Viv, I don't care what you feel about what I've done; I used you; I just want Diana." Even if you mention a sorry or anything like that (which you won't, you don't find it necessary), I'll hardly find a good enough reason to want to speak to you again.
