tutorials do help. i usually use them for adjusting my images for a nice smooth outcome but most of the time i just play around with stuff until i get a nice effect and i look at the history and record down what i just did. sadly, i didnt make any tutorials yet
 and i doubt there will be any tutorials online that use my effects since most were custom made. just make ur own stuff, its more original that way. oh yea, i had psp8 ever since i was 11 yrs old and been designing since i was 9 yrs old, got lots of expreience =]

o and for my 2nd icon, it only took bout 20 min, i didnt stamp all those dots
its an effect that paint programs have, its called "halftone" and u would get a choice of lines, squares, or circles. i probably picked circles or something and edited the opacity as well as erasing undesired parts... o.O hope it helped

well about my icons, i use paint shop pro 8. photoshop is a lot better and i'm planning to get that for my b-day soon but psp8 was cheaper =P i work with what i have anyways... in psp8 i mainly use the airbrush and then lighten/darken, burn, hard light, overlay, screen, and pixelate it till its pretty
