ahhh! arright, this was the EXACT problem ive been having link

luckily i read some forums with people with the same problem and read the steam trouble shooting guide...so far ive - restored steam to factory settings, disabled my firewall (it said that if you have downloaded a new update recently this could be messing with it...which i have, the medic updates...so i thought that would work)
and now im DLing Directx.9c

oh, and i finally JUST got a chance to play GOLDRUSH! its awesome even tho i am completely LOST and just follow people around...i got my first kritz as a heavy

wiped out a whole room with it.
and i found i got like 6 acheivements from just playing one hour of regualr playing

one i dont even know how/when i got it was : uber someone less than a second before a critical that would have killed them hit them...i was thinking i would never get that just 'cuz its so specific and precise!

basically medic1 ubers medic2 to go in and saw the crap outa people, by the end of the uber medic2 has enough to uber medic1 who does the same. LATHER RINSE REPEAT!!!

have you seen the new medic acheivements? i bet i could get a few of them just playing normally...but some of them look pretty specific and hard to do
and i really wanna try out the new weapons...should i get them by myself or use the cheat code

oh, and hey...i have a question
if you are set on fire, inches away from dying and in the red (so far that the afterburn would kill you) and you get ubered, do you still take damage and die or not?

and does the medigun still heal when ubering people? like someone with half health who got ubered would be at full health by the time the ubers over? idk i cant remember ever ubering someone with less than full health...
