That "guy on the right" is to blame for my interest in computers. Leo Laporte, I watched his show/s on TechTV almost religiously every day at 6am before school for a little less than a year. 
Kevin Rose founded digg.com and started revision3.com which has a number of shows comparable to those which were on TechTV.
Leo Laporte started twit and a number of other podcasts and shows at link, which was one of the worlds top rated and listened to podcast for a while. Leo still worked for G4 Canada doing a show similar to TechTV's Call for Help, but named "The Lab with Leo" now. It's also downloadable at link It ceased production like a week ago. 
Both revision3.com and twit.tv have shows which have a lot of the people from TechTV.
So yeah, TechTV itself may be dead, but quality shows resulting from the people that worked there are freely available and ongoing. I download and watch some here and there when I have time.
